Craft Your Story: High Valley CBD
And for something a little different…
This project was the result of answering a post in a Facebook Group of all things! I rarely throw my hat in the ring for those and I’m really happy I did. I worked with the awesome team at High Valley CBD, based in Illinois.
Though the type of product is different, the fundamentals are the same: produce on-brand, high-quality imagery for a business who needs to sell their product. I worked closely with the team to create a mood board for the studio shots as well as the IRL environmental shots. The timing could not have been better! We were about to take our road trip to places that fit the bill exactly for the High Valley CBD brand: mountains and lakes/rivers. Normally I don’t mix work and vacation, but I couldn’t help myself because the timing was just uncanny. I took their products all over the western US, pulled over in forest areas with beautiful light, scouted mountain lakes and rivers in just about every location we stopped in. I got amazing shots for this startup brand and they got images I could not have gotten 100% locally. (Though living in Southern Oregon would have worked beautifully as well - lots of mountain lakes here! Crater Lake, anyone?)
