Studio Work: Bozal Mezcal

Working with 3 Badge Beverage is always a blast - we shoot such a variety of brands! I’ve done a couple of shoots now with their mezcal: Bozal. This shoot was a part of a remote photo shoot retainer package of four shoots, the first was Quechol Sotol (studio), the next was Tree Fort (on location), then this shoot for Bozal Mezcal (studio) and lastly and just recently wrapped up for Kirk & Sweeney (studio).

The Creative Team at 3 Badge provides me with a one-sheet on the brand, the goal, a few inspiration images and the shot list. I run with it from there: collect props, do all the styling, and create the vibe with lighting and set. The Bozal Mezcal bottles are super cool clay bottles (lovely for a Reflection Manager - no reflections!) and lend themselves beautifully to an organic set with tons of texture.
