Craft Your Story: Flora Springs Winery

I have worked with Flora Springs Winery for many, many years, since day one of Untapped Media. Over the last year, we’ve been working on visual assets to launch their new branding and website! We’ve done full production shoots with talent at beautiful locations, tasting room scenes with offerings, people and wines, smaller production shoots on location, in-studio beauty photography, bottle shots of course and social media/email content shoots.

First up is the newest tier, a Beckstoffer Missouri Hopper Vineyard and a Howell Mountain Cabernet Sauvignon. The designs on these labels are intricate, with watercolor artwork, gold foil embossed, subtle background colors, on textured, pearl-finish paper. Catching the light on the gold and texture without blowing out the pearlescent paper and subtle coloring took a lot of lighting setups and some compositing work, along with a lot of post production to bring it to life. The glass was the easy piece on these!

I also took a shot (pun intended) at mini product videos. Because of the intricacy of the labels, I loved the idea of moving the light around the subject to capture each element. I’m having some fun learning video and hope to produce more of these in the future.
